The lightning bolt struck Champee Kelean’s copper talisman which he wore around his waist, while he was taking shelter underneath a shed during a thunderstorm in the northern Malaysian state of Kedah.

It is believed that the lightning bolt was attracted to the copper on his supposedly “lucky talisman.”

Moral of the story? Don’t wear a copper talisman during a thunderstorm, no matter how how “lucky” it is supposed to be! :)
