Do you like dolphins? Dolphins are highly intelligent mammals that live in many of the world’s oceans and are (truly) fascinating to know. In fact, dolphins have been man’s best friend in the sea, as there are many tales, and real reports that attest to dolphin’s saving human lives from drowning, or from shark attack.

Are we humans grateful to the dolphins? Apparently not.

Young dolphin with pacifier

Unfortunately, some countries have the tradition of killing dolphins for food, or even worse, for sport. Take the Faroe Islands for instance. Every November, the people of the Faroe Islands take their sons out to teach them to kill. All in the name of turning their boys into men.

I think this is a practice that is cruel, and has no place in our modern civilization. The dolphins are simply being killed for sport. Such intelligent and kind creatures being butchered for less than stellar intentions IMHO. If you feel this is a disagreeable event and want to express your opposition to it, sign your petition HERE.

This a public service announcement for the sake of the dolphins.

Thank you.
