We had a case of a duck who thinks he is a dog. Now we have a case of a dog who thinks he is a cat!

Meet Chippy, the dog who thinks he is a cat after living with cats all his life. Chippy is an old Jack Russell dog who has apparently been living with about 40 cats from a home and rescued recently, by a pet care charity.

Chippy can hardly bark, and sleeps with a female cat named Annie, who is very protective of him, and uses a cat litter tray.He also probably ate rats which the cats brought back from hunting (or hunted them himself).

“He came to us as part of a rescue from a multi-cat household in Cirencester.

“At first we were told he was 19, blind and deaf but that wasn’t the case.

“We couldn’t leave Chippy behind because he had lived with cats all his life. I suppose, having always lived among them he just doesn’t know any different. He never learned how to be a dog.” said Liz Dart, who is now fostering Chippy.

Vets believe Chippy to be aged between 13-15 years old, which is pretty old for a dog or cat. Now he is just a gentle, old dog who needs a good home – preferably with other fellow cats.

This is such an adorable story!

A chihuahua dog was blown away by a strong gust of wind but thankfully found again and reunited with her owners. Pint sized Tinker Bell who only weighs 6 pounds was carried off by 70 mph winds in Watford Township, near Detroit, while standing on a platform at her owner’s outdoor flea market stall.

Dorothy and Lavern Utley credit a pet psychic for guiding them on Monday to a wooded area nearly a mile from where 8-month-old Tinker Bell had been last seen. The brown long-haired dog was dirty and hungry but otherwise OK.

Tinker Bell was obviously very glad to be reunited with her owners again.

Chihuahuas are dimunitive dogs that are the SMALLEST breed of dogs in the world. They usually stand not more than 10 inches tall, and weigh not more than 6 pounds. They are named after the state of Chihuahua in Mexico.

A duck in Bournemouth, Dorset, England, behaves just like a dog and goes for walks like her doggy friends., causing onlookers to stop and stare. Essy, the duck, wags her tail and tries to bark like a dog as well.

Her owner, Tony Tufft, 35, says he and his wife have noticed that Essy was this way ever since she was a chick. The duck sleeps with her close dog companions, Rashka and DD, even though she has her own bedroom.

Her owners are rightly proud of their odd behaving duck. “She goes up to other dogs. People can’t understand it and the dogs are really confused as well.

“We even had to buy Essy her own lead, after getting strange looks from people who thought we were duck-napping.”

Essy has become a hit with the locals, and the folks always look out for her on her walks with her canine friends.

Fancy marrying a dog and having her as your wife? In India, a group of tribal elders have married a male toddler to a female dog, in order to prevent his “predicted” death by mauling from a tiger.

The odd marriage occurred in the Indian state of Orissa, Jaipur district, and was a full fledged ceremony complete with dowry for the canine bride. The bitch was clad in 2 silver rings and a silver chain.

Why did the parents marry the toddler (named Sangula) to the dog? Well, the toddler was growing a tooth from his upper gum, and that was considered a bad omen, which meant he would die from a tiger attack later on in his life. Marriage to a dog was meant to ward off the bad event.

Well, fortunately, Sangula is also able to marry a real human later on when he comes of age, so say his father. In the meantime, let’s also hope for a happy nuptial.
