The cremation grounds watchman, Ajay, that witnessed the incident alerted other people, and soon a crowd gathered around those men and beat them up.

Santram, a municipal worker, and his son Sunil, plus two other guys, Ramesh and Kamal, were charged with trespassing on burial places with the intention of wounding feelings of any person, insulting religion, defiling a place of worship with intent to insult religion of any class and wanton provocation, and the local court sentenced these guys to be remanded for 5 days.

I wonder what makes these men stoop so low as to eat a corpse, when they surely would have money to buy proper food? Maybe they are just being cannibals for the sake of it!
