Chinese “cat girl” stumps doctors
Posted on October 27th, 2009 No commentsA six year old girl from China has a bizarre condition which has doctors stumped. Li Xiaoyuan from Fengkai, South China, had a birthmark that has been spreading all over her body, giving her the appearance of a “cat girl.”
A surgeon at Zhaoqing City Dermalogical l Hospital, Guangdong province, said Li Xiaoyuan may have a rare skin disease which makes her moles spread out control, until it affects half her body. Read the rest of this entry »

How to cure troublesome hiccups
Posted on February 14th, 2009 No commentsHiccups, aren’t they annoying? Especially if they carry on for hours. If your grandmother’s remedies don’t work, you might wanna try one of these:
- Lie down. Tilt your head backwards and open your mouth wide.
- Eat a slice of lemon saturated with something bitter, like dandelion juice.
- Drink a glass of warm water while standing, and burp away (fastest method).
- Drink a glass of warm water, and hold down your ears by pressing the flesh in front of the ears (or have someone close your ears for you).
- Stand in front of a mirror and take short, shallow breaths. At the same time, insert a cool spoon handle into your mouth to touch the uvula until the hiccups go away.
