  • This is cruelty to animals

All in the name of terrorism security, live pigs are being blown up in experiments to “test the effects of bomb blasts on victims.” 18 pigs were placed near a bomb, about 3 feet away and wrapped in Kevlar blankets, and to top it up, tubes were inserted into their blood vessels and bladders, and their spleens were removed!

A wire was also put into a major abdominal blood vessel to ensure the vessel became lacerated in the explosion.

Scientists hoped to learn how long the animals can survive when more than a third of their blood have been removed, and hopefully help troops injured in combat or during a terrorist bombing attack.

“This work is part of our broad combat casualty care programme. Anecdotally, we are seeing evidence of people surviving because of this work,” said a spokeswoman for the Porton Down army facility, where the test was carried out.

But is it necessary to blow up live animals for this? Well guess what, none of the pigs survived (obviously).  I think this experiment is nothing but gross animal cruelty.

    A happy pig
