Dog who thinks he is a cat
Posted on August 29th, 2009 No commentsWe had a case of a duck who thinks he is a dog. Now we have a case of a dog who thinks he is a cat!
Meet Chippy, the dog who thinks he is a cat after living with cats all his life. Chippy is an old Jack Russell dog who has apparently been living with about 40 cats from a home and rescued recently, by a pet care charity.
Chippy can hardly bark, and sleeps with a female cat named Annie, who is very protective of him, and uses a cat litter tray.He also probably ate rats which the cats brought back from hunting (or hunted them himself). Read the rest of this entry »

Man jailed for yawning
Posted on August 24th, 2009 No commentsA man was jailed for 3 weeks because he yawned too loudly during a court sentencing of his cousin who was on trial for a drug offense, in which he was just a spectator. Incredible, what goes on these days.
Clifton Williams, 33, of Richton Park, was sentenced to jail after Judge Daniel Rozak found him “guilty of contempt of court.” Williams was initially jailed for 6 months, but the judge ordered him released after 3 weeks.
The judge did have the courtesy to tell Williams that he wasn’t jailed for yawning, but for making a sound “that was offensive to the court” while “raising his hands” at the same time.
Now if yawning can get you in trouble, you have to wonder, what’s next?

Crystal ball causes flat to burn down
Posted on August 18th, 2009 No commentsA fire sparked by a crystal ball caused a woman’s house to burn down in the UK. While the crystal ball was only worth about £20, the damage to the house was estimated at £10,000.
Kim Yeates, 53, bought the 4 inch crystal ball and placed it on her window sill, but the object refracted the sun’s rays onto her TV, which caused it to overheat and explode. The resulting fire spread to her sofa and soon her entire 1st floor flat was on fire, and her neighbor Neil Clarke alerted the firemen after initially thinking Kim was trapped in the flat.
Kim was away at the time, and returned home to find everything devastated.

Egyptian statue looks like Micheal Jackson
Posted on August 6th, 2009 No commentsDid Micheal Jackson model his appearance after an Egyptian statue? This story is making the rounds after people noticed that a particular bust of a female that lived 3000 years ago, and is presently sitting in the Field Museum in Chicago, bears an uncanny resemblance to MJ….at least in the later “version” of his plastic surgery incarnations.
Take a look for yourself. Does this look like MJ? The funny thing is that the nose of the statue is disintegrating, just like MJ’s nose was, due to his numerous plastic surgeries. Now, that is weird.

Odd statue on Mars?
Posted on August 1st, 2009 No commentsTake a look at this odd rock formation that appears to be….what do you know, a statue on Mars? Upon close inspection, it looks a little similar to this Egyptian statue or maybe one of the Bamyan Buddhas in Afghanistan (before) they were destroyed by the Taliban in 2001.
The original pic can be seen at the NASA site, but this is a zoom in on the supposed statue that appears on a cliff face on Mars. There is really an uncanny resemblance to a statue! Read the rest of this entry »
