Green chicken eggs anyone?
Posted on April 14th, 2009 2 commentsSo what did you have for Easter, green chicken eggs?
Yup, a Croatian farmer found his hen Fata started to lay green eggs and since then, business has been great…

“I can’t really explain why it happens,” said Stipa Gregacevic. “Some say it might be because we put red pepper in the hen food.”
“We’re an organic farm and we’re always being told to be more Green but I don’t think this is what the scientists have in mind,” he added.
Actually, I think the green eggs are cute and so does Stipa’s customers, who don’t mind paying double for them.

as I know the eggshell colour is genetic related character .It does not change due to the feed ingredient, so this matter might be happened due to exessive improvment in poultry breeding and poultry genetics
