Deep sea creatures are an endless source of fascination. Living thousands of meters below the surface of the ocean, many species remain undiscovered by science. The Census of Marine Life survey has been going on for years, and involves thousands of scientists from 82 countries.

So far, about 120,000 species have been discovered (that’s already a lot), but scientists estimate there could be as many as 250,000 species of deep sea creatures!
